The UK GreenTech Catalyst Conference
We believe that GreenTech and CleanTech have hugely transformative powers in many sectors and The UK GreenTech Catalyst Conference aimed to champion and propel that potential. This event catered to both GreenTech businesses and those industries who are ripe for transformation by GreenTech Solutions.
In 2022, we published an in-depth investigation into the technological advancements that are preventing climate change.
Globally we must embrace ground-breaking technologies, and this paper addresses the how and the why, with first-hand insight from industry experts.
Fast-forward to 2024, we transformed the conversation into a live event!

The Agenda
The day was split into two halves: Igniting Innovation and Empowering Transformation.
Morning Track – Igniting Innovation
The morning session was crafted to give insight and value to growing GreenTech and CleanTech businesses.
It kicked off with a keynote from Mike Kefford, UKI Principle IBM Sustainability Software, on the challenges IBM is facing in the new era of GreenTech. This was followed by a workshop on GreenTech Growth, led by a panel of specialists and GreenTech CEOs. This aimed to get attendees talking with their peers about the biggest challenges they face as a GreenTech business, no matter what stage they’re at.
What followed were two panel discussions: ‘How to Attract Investment’ and ‘Business Support for GreenTechs’. These panels brought together leading investment firms and business support initiatives to give advice to emerging GreenTechs who are seeking investment and wider business support.

The afternoon was all about empowering established heavy industries in their aim to be more sustainable for the future. The schedule for the afternoon took a similar structure to the morning, consisting of a welcome talk, workshop and two panel discussions.
Our CEO Georgia Halston welcomed all attendees back after lunch, and introduced the afternoon’s workshop entitled ‘Elevating Your Sustainable Practices’. Guest speakers included directors of big names in the sustainable industry such as Quorn and Vernacare, and asked attendees to reflect on their professional responsibility to remain sustainable and what obstacles come into this.
The afternoon panel discussions were focused on innovative technology and further investment advice to start-up GreenTech businesses. We heard from even more up-and-coming businesses on their holistic approach to sustainability, and how to gain financial support for budding businesses.
